KARMA ROAD: Getting Off the Round About
by: Freda M. Chaney
"The overwhelming parallels between George Eliot and myself seem to point to a previous association with the 19th century novelist. I do not profess to have her genius or her writing aptitude. When writing my book about Eliot, reincarnation, and karma, I decided to make all of the comparisons and let the chips fall where they may.
Mine is a personal story of two individuals who struggled against seemingly insurmountable odds to become successful in their respective time periods. Eliot struggled against a male-dominated society, strict religious underpinnings, and expectations of her culture. I struggled against a male-dominated family, the loss of my mother at an early age, and the emotional landslide that left me ill-prepared to cope with life.
This is an important book for our generation, especially for women who are still locked into a 19th century mindset with regards to cultural and societal expectations. The end goal of my book is for all of us to learn to release bad karma and form our own unique ways of coping in the modern world." ~ Freda M. Chaney
